The couple’s love affair began with Southern Comfort. That was the first of countless meals the pair would cook together.

TJ and Chantal each bring their own style and flavors to the kitchen and to the world which is why they have been an unstoppable force creating award-winning cuisine and positive change.
Luchals Founders knew they had something special from the start: their whirlwind romance started in 2012 and just four years later they opened doors to their first restaurant concept. Along the way Chantal received a Culinary Degree from the prestigious Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts. From the beginning, the couple believed food should be fresh and flavorful as well as Gluten Free for those who are Celiac. Quickly, food critics and restaurantgoers responded; lines wrapped around the building and customers kept coming back for more.
Luchals’ mission and vision are rooted in the same dedication to excellence that has always motivated them as entrepreneurs. It’s also paired with a spirit of service that is apparent to guests as soon as they visit a Luchals location. A burgeoning celebrity chef, Chantal has been recognized for her warm and magnetic personality in addition to her groundbreaking approach to Soulful Southern Seafood.
Bringing people together to share joy has been Travares and Chantal’s inspiration since opening.
In essence, they are committed to evolving responsibly and sustainably, with harmony and integrity. Both Travares and Chantal spent time serving our country; the veteran business owners are passionate about giving back and have dreams of one day opening a second chance non-profit and providing cooking classes and opportunities for veterans and juveniles.
